Dating back to the 9th century, Zadar is still surrounded by grand medieval walls and fortunately for us, it's still often overlooked from the more well-known cities of Dubrovnik and Split. The Roman forum is central to the old town and a must see, and various other sites dotted around the city with features from Roman, medieval and Venetian influences. The city has also entwined the old and the new in a magnificent way with the famous sea organ and greetings to the sun protruding from the edge of the old town in it's own unique position.
